The day is finally here! It feels like I've been waiting forever (but it's actually only been about ten days) but today is the day - between 10am and 1pm - that my icandy peach blossom double buggy is making it's way to our house. Double buggy, I hear you ask? Did I miss something? The answer is....
No.
The long and short (and boring) of it is that Oliver's travel system has been slowly and surely dying on us for a few months now. We do have a stroller but it's a stupid one that requires part of the backseat of the car to be down before it will fit in the boot (of a 4x4!!! Honestly!) and there a few other niggly things I don't like about it. Basically, it's fine in a pinch but in no way suitable to become my full time pushchair. However, I didn't want to waste money on another stroller (or single travel system for that matter) so I started looking at my dream buggies.... I desperately wanted an icandy travel system when I was pregnant with Oliver, I think they're so beautiful and functional (although I had my doubts about this when I saw how many different 'bits' you had to buy but I've had a go with my sister-in-laws and it's every bit as fabulous as I imagined haha!) but the budget didn't allow back then. Although having said that, the cheapy travel system we ended up buying instead has barely lasted us two years so I was reluctant to make that mistake again.
Of course as we have hopes for baby number two to be on the way sooner rather than later, I was mainly looking at double buggies but I wanted to be able to use it as a single pushchair too - both for Oliver now, before the new one gets here, and for number two (and three?? Haha!) when Oliver is no longer so much in need of a pushchair. So the peach blossom was perfect!
