London baby.... Cybher 2013!

I'm sure you're all dying to know how I got on in London on Saturday.

The short answer?I ended up very happy, very tired and slightly tipsy!!

I know you all want the long answer though so here goes.

I had a brilliant time!! At first I was a bit worried - a lot of groups already seemed to know each other and I wondered what was the best approach to infiltrate one of them... luckily Kara of Innocent Charms Chats did a fabulous job of hooking me up ;-) and then I realised that I'd already been speaking to/reading half of them already, I just hadn't realised 'who was who' in real life. After that I felt much better, although I still clung to Kara like a limpet as much as possible!

Gorgeous pink satchel from The Leather Satchel Company. More about them in separate post, they're fantastic!

Coffee and cookies on arrival.... nom nom.

I found most of the sessions I chose to attend really helpful, in particular a photography session by Mario of Someone once told me and a few about various bloggy legal stuff (I really needed those).

The cocktail party afterwards was a really lovely way to relax after quite an action packed day and, more importantly (to me) a chance to talk to all the lovely bloggers I met in a more comfortable environment. I even partook of a glass of wine (or four) but luckily escaped the clutches of a hangover by drinking water and grabbing a Burger King on the way home.... as if I hadn't done nothing but stuff my face with all the gorgeous free food all day anyway! (Cake. Overload. That's all I'm gonna say!)

Mmmmm.... mini burgers..... *Homer drool*

Drinks with Emma from Me, the man and baby!!!

My only huge regret (especially seeing as my photo heavy posts are by far my highest hitters.... I'm not entirely sure why!) is that a) I lugged my lovely (but heavy) camera all the way to London with me and used it a grand total of three times and b) I hardly took any photos at all, even on my phone. I don't really know why, I just didn't seem to get around to it! This makes me really sad as the venue (8 Northumberland Avenue) was incredible and had been done up to look like my own personal version of heaven... all pink lighting, cookie jars, chandeliers and pretty stationary stalls!

Pretty and pink

I <3 stationary! Especially freebies from The Dodo Pad Shop!!

The lovely Caroline from Patchwork Harmony speaking about starting your own business

Tips for publishing your own book from Agnes of Ted and Agnes

Finally.... some of the Emma's Diary blogging crew! Kirsty and Clara from My Two Mums, Danielle from Blog by Baby and me! Sadly we didn't catch Kara from Innocent Charms Chats and Katie from Mummy, Daddy, Me before they left but we will next time! Oh and girls.... all of these are follow links ;-)

Psst! To see the outfit I eventually settled on after weeks (ok hours) of deciding, come back here on Wednesday!
