Somethings been on my mind for a while now. I have a lot of blogs I like to read. I have a lot of blogs I love to read. Then there's a (very) select few (two in fact) above that which are my "Grab a cuppa" reads... that is to say, I look forward to their posts so much that I actively check for them every day (instead of letting Blogger dashboard do it... hey, they might have missed one!) and then when I see one, I make sure Oliver is settled and happy and make myself a cup of tea before I sit down to read one of their posts. I figured these blogs deserved a little shout out, just for brightening my day with their awesomeness (and usually some kickass photos).
As you can probably tell I'm on a bit of a house/home decor/organisational kick at the moment (occupational hazard I guess!) so the blogs on this rather short list will come as no surprise to anyone.

I could only start with Sarah over at Cozy.Cottage.Cute. I get jealous even thinking about this blog haha! Not only because of her beautiful house (which I am actually crazy jealous of and I'm pretty sure hubby is getting sick of hearing about how she has white sofas and "OhmiGod, like, they don't even get dirty because the covers come off and she can wash them.... We could totally have white sofas... See... SEE!") but also because she is a fab blogger who makes me laugh with all her posts and takes B-E-A-utiful photos with most of her entries (please never stop the baking photo shoots, I <3 them!!). I wish my blog was as funny and pretty as this one but I can only dream ;-) Basically she manages to flaunt the three talents I envy the most - fantastic photography, flair for interior design and good writing all in one shiny, white, uncluttered space. I might hate her actually.

I also love to read Ashli at Mini Manor. I am equally jealous of her gorgeous house and how beautifully clean and tidy it is but that's not the only reason I read this blog (in fact, why would you even read a blog that only serves to point out how hideously 'un-fancy' your own house is? Lol!) I love this blog because it makes all of the above actually seem attainable and inspires me to go and clean and make my house pretty (for the 5 minutes while I'm reading the post anyway ;-)) Trust me, it takes a special kind of writer to make me want to clean! It also convinces me that random cute ornaments and stacks of books used for decoration on coffee tables are absolutely necessary... until I remember I have a 14 month old and they'd be scattered/smashed/eaten within about five seconds. Unfortunately for the time being, high shelves and locked cupboards are my friends :-(
In case it wasn't obvious, I haven't done this to a) get anything free or enter a competition, b) advertise these blogs for any kind of financial gain or c) suck up to above blog authors (ok maybe a little bit of c) :p)
I just thought that if somebody enjoyed reading my blog as much as I enjoy reading these two (please save your laughing until after you leave!), I would like to know about it. So here I am, letting them know about it.... here's hoping they don't just think I'm a weird stalker!
